At Clio Cup's 5th leg at İzmir / Pınarbaşı Circuit, which is organized by Renault and Performans Organization by the sponsorship of Kent, Omsan, Elf, Axa-Oyak, CMS ve Michelin Şerif Yardımcı took the lead position. Marshall pilot Hakan Güven announced his championship victory by his 4th place finish before the season end.

Clio Cup ran over 30 laps different than before. Clio Cup races ran over 20 laps as usual. With the start, Oğuz Karaoğlu and Ahmet Atay crashed together while both turning the first curve. Hakan Güven took the lead while Oğuz Karaoğlu got down to the last position with the spin he made. By the coming laps Selim Özgörkey from İzmir made an attack and got the first position and stay in lead till 26th lap. When Selim missed the brake point Şerif Yardımcı passed and got the first place till the end of 3 remaining laps. 3rd position was Alkan Güven's.

Hakan Güven will announce his championship victory if he could finish in first four pilot. His rivals Murat Doruk and Ahmet Atay left the race without points and Güven got the first place with his clever strategy. With this result, Hakan Güven had the victory in the first season of Clio Cup.

Hamdi Saraçkardeşler could only run 13 laps with the clutch failure while, Murat Doruk left the race at the first lap with a mechanical problem. 10 lucky spectators drawn by a lot run the circuit with Kenan Doğulu's Renault Clio. Renault-Mais chairman İbrahim Bayar gave the cups of the winning pilots during the after-race ceremony.
