With specially prepared 16 Fiat Palio's, Palio Cup took start in 1999. With the rising team sprit and unchanged pilot staff, Palio Cup bring new excitement to the circuits. For 3 years Palio Cup is the most exciting one brand race on the circuits. Palio Cup took start with 20 cars at the final season in 2001.
For the first season Fiat Palio's prototype is prepared by FIAT AUTO CORSE (ABARTH) then, all the Palio's were commended to the specially trained technical staff of Tofaş - Fiat.

With their specially modified 1600 cc, 160 HP engines Fiat Palio's put sign under very godd lap times and the most exciting cup on the circuits till that time. All of the cars were equipped with Pireli Slicks, Penske shock absorbers and Eibach springs.
The beginning pilot staff raced stably for 3 seasons. Every year, another pilot took the lead title. First season Şerif Yardımcı was on top. Then in 2000 Kenan Yılmaz and in 2001 Ömer Erdem followed and took attention as new stars.

After the 3 live broadcasts at Show TV and live broadcasts of all the races on Mydonose FM, public start to wait the coming race. In the second season organization met with more people by the 7 broadcasts at Show TV.
